This week is National Volunteers' Week! At Cariad Pet Therapy CIC they have amazing volunteers who give up their time to help others and make a difference to their community.
Cariad Pet Therapy, based in Haverfordwest, provides pet therapy to organisations and individuals throughout West and South Wales.
Their volunteers make regular visits to hospitals, those socially isolated, schools and care homes allowing others to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits that dogs bring.
Cariad Pet Therapy also runs a Pet Food Bank supporting pet owners who are experiencing hardship, set up in December 2020.
All this is not possible without the dedication and hard work from their volunteers:
Cariad Pet Therapy has a team of dedicated Volunteer Directors who meet on a regular basis to discuss and decide on the progress and the development of Cariad Pet Therapy.
They have delivery drivers that cover over 250 miles per month delivering pet food parcels to those in need. Volunteers the make up parcels and work in the pet food bank.
Pet Therapy Volunteers who, with their loved therapy dog, visit a range of establishments making a difference in their community.
A volunteer administration role that supports Cariad Pet Therapy.
Project Manager, Rob Thomas said "Without the dedication, ideas, time and enthusiasm given by all our volunteers we would not be able to provide the service to the community that we do. We are thankful to our volunteers every day for the work they do in their own time and we really appreciate their support - Thank you!"
